Nithiin was deeply disappointed with the box office performance of “Robinhood.” Despite extensive promotions, the film failed to attract audiences and was panned by both critics and the general public. He had hoped for at least an average run, if not a hit, but the response left him shocked.
Now, Nithiin is rethinking his strategy to revive his career and get back on track. He knows that a solid hit at this moment is crucial.
He has already completed most of the work on his upcoming film “Thammudu,” being directed by Sriram Venu, known for hits like MCA and Vakeel Saab. Touted as an action drama with strong emotional elements, “Thammudu” is produced by Dil Raju and features ‘Kantara’ fame Saptami Gowda making her Telugu debut, with actress Laya playing Nithiin’s sister.
Nithiin is optimistic about “Thammudu” but is taking extra precautions to ensure its success. He and producer Dil Raju are carefully evaluating the film before locking in a release date, determined to avoid any missteps.
Additionally, Nithiin has signed on for another Dil Raju production titled “Yellamma,” which will be directed by Venu Yeldandi of ‘Balagam fame. However, for now, his primary focus remains on making “Thammudu” a success.
