Nithiin, Rakul Preet Singh, and Priya Prakash Varrier have teamed up for a thriller ‘Check’. While the trailer is quite impressive, the film, however, doesn’t have the material to attract mass audiences. The film seems to be targeting more of an urban audience.
Despite these limitations, the concept-oriented thriller has managed to get good prices from the distributors. Directed by Chandrasekhar Yeleti, who is known for weaving different stories, and produced by Ananda Prasad, ‘Check’ is scheduled for Feb 26 release.
Now that the governments have given permission for 100 % seating capacity and also allowed the hiking of ticket prices, distributors are also shelling out more money to bag the rights. Thus, ‘Check’ has reportedly fetched Rs 15 crore from distributors from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Warangal Srinu is said to have bagged Nizam rights for Rs 5 crore.
The producer will get another Rs 12 crore from satellite and digital rights. So, it will be a safe venture for him.
