“Pushpa 2,” starring Allu Arjun, is setting huge new records in Hindi. But in Andhra Pradesh, the film is far away from reaching the break-even stage. There are numerous reasons for the film’s underperformance in Andhra.
In this context, the production house Mythri Movie Makers decided to postpone their other production, “Robinhood,” from Christmas to allow “Pushpa 2” to generate more revenue during the Christmas and New Year period. They anticipate that if they extend the run of the Allu Arjun starrer until the New Year period, it will almost recover their investment in Andhra.
For this reason, the production house reportedly postponed Nithiin’s movie.
Today, the production officially announced the decision. “Due to unforeseen circumstances, #Robinhood will not be releasing on December 25th. A new release date will be announced soon,” the production house wrote.
Venky Kudumula is directing “Robinhood,” which stars Nithiin and Sreeleela as the lead pair. GV Prakash Kumar is the music director.
