Director S.S. Rajamouli is currently focused on completing his ambitious project “Varanasi,” starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra. The film is being mounted on a massive scale with an eye on expanding its reach across international and non-Telugu markets.
Although the film is still in production and industry circles are even speculating that its release could move from April 2027 to mid-2027, reports about Rajamouli’s next project have already begun doing the rounds.
Several social media handles and entertainment portals recently claimed that Rajamouli has locked his next film and will reunite with Ram Charan for a third collaboration after the blockbuster successes of “Magadheera” and “RRR.”
According to these reports, Rajamouli is considering Ram Charan because other leading stars are reportedly tied up with long-term commitments. The speculation suggested that NTR, Prabhas, and Allu Arjun would not be immediately available, making Ram Charan the most viable option.
However, sources close to Rajamouli dismiss these reports as baseless and premature. They maintain that the filmmaker is completely immersed in the production of “Varanasi” and has not initiated discussions regarding his next project.
Those familiar with Rajamouli’s working style point out that he has always focused on one film at a time and typically begins planning his next venture only after completing and releasing his current project. As of now, any reports linking him to a new film with Ram Charan remain pure speculation.
