Speculation surrounding Ram Charan’s future projects continues to dominate Tollywood circles, but sources indicate that the actor has not finalized a director for his much-discussed RC18.
It is already known that Ram Charan will reunite with Sukumar for his next project, tentatively referred to as RC17. However, that film is unlikely to begin production for at least another three months as the script and pre-production work are still being finalized.
In the meantime, reports have linked Ram Charan to multiple directors for RC18. One set of rumors suggested that he might collaborate once again with Buchi Babu Sana following the positive result of “Peddi.” Another report claimed that director Srikanth Odela was being considered for the project after completing Nani’s “The Paradise.”
Interestingly, the project originally planned between Megastar Chiranjeevi and Srikanth Odela may have taken a different turn, with some reports claiming that Chiranjeevi encouraged Ram Charan to work with the young filmmaker instead.
However, insiders close to the actor say that none of these reports are accurate at this stage. Apart from Sukumar’s project, Ram Charan has not formally committed to any new film and is still evaluating his options.
For now, the actor’s immediate priority is his health. Ram Charan is currently recovering from a hand injury and is expected to undergo a minor surgical procedure before returning to work commitments.
