When ‘Radhe Shyam’ was planned, it was a modestly budgeted project. Prabhas had signed this film precisely for the reason to help his pedda nanna Krishnam Raju’s family financially. He is introducing his cousin Praseedha as the co-producer.
Prabhas has brought in T Series company into the project only when the film’s budget and schedules have gone out of control. The film’s Hindi version was sold to T Series for a whopping Rs 120 Crore. But constant delays in production have made the movie and mounting interests in finances borrowed have made this film a big-budgeted one.
Prabhas’s original plan to provide huge profits from this project to Krishnam Raju’s family may not be possible now as the film’s budget has almost tripled. Poor planning is the main reason.
Adding woes to the misery, the film may have to postpone its release date again owing to the current second wave of coronavirus.
‘Radhe Shyam’ is being directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and produced by Vamshi-Praseeda in association with T Series. The film has Justin Prabhakaran’s music for the Telugu version. Pooja Hegde is the heroine.
