NTR, currently in Japan promoting his upcoming film Devara, was taken by surprise when a Japanese fan spoke to him in fluent Telugu. While signing autographs for fans in Tokyo, a young woman approached him and revealed that she had learned Telugu after being inspired by his performance in RRR.
Deeply moved, NTR called her a wonderful inspiration and shared the heartwarming moment on social media.
NTR wrote on X.com: “My visits to Japan always give me beautiful memories but this one hit differently. Hearing a Japanese fan tell me she learned Telugu after watching RRR truly moved me.
Being a lover of cinema and languages, the power of cinema to be a bridge across cultures and encouraging a fan to learn a language is something I will never forget. One more reason to celebrate Indian Cinema as it travels the world.”
A fan from Japan learned Telugu just out of love for @Tarak9999 and today she finally met him 🫶🏻
