NT Rama Rao, a legendary actor and the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, will be honoured with a new Rs 100 coin bearing his likeness. It was announced by Shaktikanta Das, governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
The coin will be released soon on the eve of his 100th birth anniversary.
The RBI minting officials met with Daggubati Purandheswari, NTR’s daughter, and gave her a test coin. The silver coin will feature NTR’s likeness on one side.
NTR’s fans and TDP folks went in celebration after the news.
