Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi Trailer: When a wife fights back

The trailer of “Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi” is out, offering a glimpse into a troubled marital relationship. Starring Tarun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba as the lead pair, the film is entirely set in the Godavari region, with the trailer clearly establishing its central conflict.

The story revolves around a rural man who marries a middle-class woman from the same region. While the marriage begins on a conventional note, the husband’s dominating nature soon turns abusive, as he repeatedly resorts to domestic violence. When the woman finally decides she has had enough and chooses to fight back, the narrative takes a dramatic turn.

The film appears to tackle sensitive issues such as domestic abuse, power dynamics within marriage, and a woman’s breaking point, with an intense and realistic tone. 

Tarun Bhascker, known for popularizing the Telangana dialect in Telugu cinema, surprises by speaking in the Godavari dialect for the first time, while Eesha Rebba stands out as a traditional Godavari woman with a strong emotional arc.

Directed by debutant A. R. Sajeev, the film features Brahmaji in a key role. Music is composed by Jay Krish, and the project is produced by Srujan Yarabolu under the S Originals banner. “Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi” is scheduled for release on January 30, 2026.
