Omicron threat: RRR to go ahead with the release

NTR, Rajamouli, Ram Charan

Night curfews have been imposed in many parts of India. Three states including Maharashtra have issued new guidelines after Omicron variant cases are on the rise. Maharashtra contributes more than 40% of theatrical business for Hindi films.

Rajamouli and his team, however, have decided to go with their theatrical plan. They cannot backtrack on the release date at this moment. NTR and Ram Charan have been promoting the film in Hindi markets aggressively.

In just 12 days, the film would hit theaters worldwide. So postponing the film at this stage would land the producer in big trouble. Hence, the makers are continuing the promotion. They are confident that the governments will not impose lockdown again.

‘RRR’ stars NTR and Ram Charan as the lead heroes. The film is heavily relying on the Hindi version.
