OTT Debuts: Funky and Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi

This weekend saw the arrival of two Telugu movies on OTT platforms: “Funky” and “Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi”.

Funky, starring Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar, originally hit theaters on February 13, 2026, but failed to make an impact at the box office. The film was directed by K. V. Anudeep, who previously delivered the hit Jathi Ratnalu.

Despite the director’s reputation for comedy, the film’s humor did not resonate with audiences in theaters. As the production house Sithara Entertainments has a distribution arrangement with Netflix for most of its projects, “Funky” has now made its digital debut on the platform and is currently streaming.

Streaming now on ZEE5: Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi

Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, starring Ravi Teja, Dimple Hayathi, and Ashika Ranganath, was released in theaters on January 13, 2026. After about two months, the film has now made its OTT debut on ZEE5.

Directed by Kishore Tirumala, the film received mixed reactions. Many viewers felt it was a relatively better effort compared to Ravi Teja’s recent films, but it still did not perform well at the box office. However, the song “Vaammo Vaayyo” from the film managed to gain popularity.
