Padma Kasturirangan now leads Prime Video’s South Originals

Padma Kasturirangan has been elevated to the position of Head of South, India Originals for Amazon Prime Video. She became team member of Prime Video two years prior and played a vital role in securing new programs, including the “Rana Daggubati Show.”

She will now supervise the Originals programming for South India on the OTT platform.

Upon completing her film study at New York University, Padma commenced her career in Hyderabad at Annapurna Film School, subsequently working with Tamada Media and Zee 5 Telugu.

“With a super thrilling line-up planned for the near future, I look forward to scaling up our Originals program in Tamil and Telugu, bringing bar-raising stories to engage and delight our audiences, in this expanded role. Nurturing new markets and building a diverse, wholesome content slate has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey at Prime Video. I am deeply thankful to Nikhil Madhok, Gaurav Gandhi and James Farrell for entrusting me with this opportunity,” Padma Kasturirangan said.
