Pawan Kalyan: During OG, my focus was only on cinema

The pre-release event of “OG” was held on Sunday at LB Stadium, Hyderabad, where the trailer was screened exclusively for fans. The electrifying response from the audience set the tone for the evening, with excitement reaching new heights.

Addressing the massive crowd, Pawan Kalyan expressed his gratitude and admiration for the film’s team.

“I usually don’t attend such events in my film costumes. But because of director Sujeeth, I made an exception this time and also for the fans. The song ‘Washi Yo Washi’ is inspired by a Japanese haiku, meaning ‘you are on high pedestal, but I’ll bring you down.’ I’m delighted to share screen space with Emraan Hashmi. He’s a wonderful actor who brought immense energy to the film,” Pawan Kalyan said.

He also recalled Sujeeth’s passion for cinema: “Sujeeth is one of my biggest fans. He once wore a headband for days after watching Johnny. His love for cinema is inspiring. After Saaho, Trivikram introduced me to him through producer Danayya. Sujeeth narrates stories simply, but his true brilliance shines on the big screen. For me, this film has two stars: Sujeeth and music director Thaman.”

Pawan praised Thaman’s music as magical, saying it elevated the film to another level.

He also appreciated Priyanka Mohan, adding: “She brings the charm of an 80s heroine. Though our track is short, it is heartfelt and impactful.”

On a personal note, Pawan Kalyan reflected on his journey: “Even when I stepped away from cinema for politics, you fans never left me. That strength you gave me keeps me fighting for the people today. I am a film lover at heart. When I make a movie, I think only about cinema. When I do politics, my mind is only on serving people. I even learned Japanese for this film. If I had a team like this when I directed films, I might not have entered politics.”

With such heartfelt words and the thunderous response from fans, the pre-release event reaffirmed that OG is all set to create a storm at the box office.
