“If the AP government wants to stop my films, I dare them to do as they wish. But don’t harass the entire Telugu film industry for one person,” Pawan Kalyan told the government while attacking YS Jagan’s government over the issue of ticket prices in the state. The AP government has slashed the ticket prices in April.
Actor and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan went all out in his speech at the pre-release event of ‘Republic’, which was held on Saturday in Hyderabad. He alleged that the government is harassing the entire industry to target him. Pawan Kalyan also termed AP cinematography minister Perni Nani as ‘sannasi’ (an unfit person).
Pawan Kalyan used strong words in his speech. He also mentioned that actors are getting crores of rupees for their talent. They are getting such pay after years of hard work, he said. “Prabhas proved his might with ‘Baahubali’. NTR is getting money because of his exceptional talent in dance and acting. Ram Charan reached this stage with his hard work. An actress earns money because of her talent. The actors pay taxes to the government. Their tax is deducted at the source. Actors and technicians are not earning money by getting contracts like your leaders,” he pointed out.
Pawan Kalyan also urged the industry colleagues to come out and express their feelings. “If you don’t raise your voice, no one will do it for you. While some of you proclaim your family’s history on the public stage, but keep calm when the government is harassing us. Mohan Babu, who claims to be a close relative of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, should also stand for the industry,” the actor-politician said.
Pawan Kalyan’s speech is bound to create a political storm.
