Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan was elected as an MLA for the first time and will soon take oath in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. In Andhra Pradesh, each MLA receives a monthly salary of approximately Rs 1.5 lakh.

Top leaders typically do not accept salaries other than a nominal amount such as Rs 1 or 10 to demonstrate that they work for the benefit of society rather than for personal gain. Furthermore, the government salary does not cover even one day’s travel expenses of such rich and famous.

But Pawan Kalyan says he will take his full salary. He will not settle for a nominal sum. “The salary will remind me of the importance of being accountable for every rupee that I spend. It’s people’s money,” he explained.

Pawan Kalyan earns Rs 70 crore for the film. In his election affidavit, he  declared massive assets and income. Pawan Kalyan was elected MLA from Pithapuram, and as president of the Jana Sena party, he interacted with all 20 MLA candidates who won on his party’s ticket.
