Peddi gets AP govt nod: Rs 600 Premiere tickets

The Andhra Pradesh government has officially granted permission for special premiere shows of Ram Charan’s “Peddi” on June 3, clearing the way for early screenings across the state.

As per the government order issued today, the film can hold a special premiere show at 8 PM on June 3, with ticket prices fixed at an additional Rs 600, inclusive of GST.

The government has also approved a temporary ticket price hike for ten days from the film’s release on June 4. Under the revised rates, single-screen theaters can charge an additional Rs 100 per ticket, while multiplexes are permitted to charge Rs 125 extra.

Meanwhile, “Peddi” is also expected to receive a similar government order in Telangana. According to reports, the producers have already met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and sought permission for both premiere shows and enhanced ticket prices. The approval is expected to be issued within the next couple of days.

With the government clearance now in place in Andhra Pradesh, all arrangements are being made for paid premiere shows at 8 PM on June 3.

Starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, “Peddi” has generated tremendous buzz ahead of its release. The action sports drama is expected to open to massive numbers worldwide and could provide a much-needed boost to the Telugu film industry, which has witnessed a lean period at the box office over the past few months.
