Peddi smashes $100K milestone in North America

Ram Charan’s much-awaited rural sports drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has already begun its box office rampage overseas. The film created a sensational record in North America by crossing the $100K mark in pre-sales within just four hours of bookings opening.

With this feat, Peddi has reportedly set a new benchmark for the fastest ticket sales for an Indian film in the region. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that the film has reached this milestone without releasing its theatrical trailer yet.

The strong advance sales underline the massive craze surrounding Ram Charan and the growing anticipation for Buchi Babu Sana’s storytelling. North American distribution is being handled by Prathyangira Cinemas, which is planning a wide international rollout. Apart from North America, the film is also set to release across Australia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and several other overseas territories.

Despite limited promotional content so far, Peddi has generated exceptional buzz. The makers have only unveiled two songs, two glimpses, and a few posters, but each promotional asset has received a tremendous response from audiences. The film’s earthy backdrop, intense rural atmosphere, and Ram Charan’s rugged transformation have become major talking points online.

The team has already locked the theatrical trailer, and expectations are high that it will elevate the hype even further ahead of release.

Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, in association with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Peddi is slated for a grand Pan-India release on June 4, with premiere shows scheduled for June 3.
