Kushee Ravi, a Kannada actress, hopes that Telugu audiences will love her and her maiden Telugu film, Pindam, which will be released in theaters worldwide on December 15.

The first Telugu film
This is my first film in Telugu. When the producers approached me, I asked why they thought I would be a good fit for the character. When I first read the script synopsis, I was thinking, “Should I play this mother character with two kids and one carrying?” I was cautious because this was my first Telugu film. But I really liked the script.
Hopefully, people will connect with my character Mary. Telugu people are at the forefront of welcoming new talent from other industries.
I’m still experimenting
My mentor, ‘Dia’ director Ashok sir, advised me to break the pattern in films. I shouldn’t be playing the same characters over and over. I don’t have the insecurity that my career prospects will suffer if I play a pregnant mother in my first Telugu film. Following the lockdown, audiences’ tastes and perceptions of filmgoers have shifted.
Sriram and the makers assisted me
The lead actor Sriram is very helpful, and he constantly encouraged me with kind words. Sriram garu had repeatedly praised me. The creators, director Sai Kiran garu and producer Yeshwanth garu, were fantastic. Sai Kiran knew exactly what he wanted. Yeshwanth garu did not make any concessions in producing the film.
