Pooja Hegde signs Puri’s JGM on the dotted line

Pooja Hegde, the reigning queen of the Telugu cinema industry, has begun signing new projects. As her backlog of projects has been cleared, she is now ready to sign new movies. 

On Friday, Pooja Hegde joined the shooting of Salman Khan’s ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’, which is progressing in Mumbai. On the same day, she has also given her agreement to a new film. 

She will pair up with Vijay Deverakonda in director Puri Jagannadh’s new patriotic drama ‘JGM’ (Jana Gana Mana). The multi-lingual film was launched recently. The regular shoot will commence in June or July. Director Puri Jagannadh and producer Charmee have approached Pooja Hegde, and she has officially signed the project now.

Vijay Deverakonda and Pooja Hegde have never worked together before. Janhvi Kapoor was to play the female lead in this film initially, but finally, the project fell in Pooja Hegde’s lap.
