Prabhas’s ‘Fauji’ aims for Dasara 2026 release

Prabhas is systematically lining up his upcoming projects with clear production schedules and release plans to ensure smooth execution and avoid further delays. Recently, the makers of “Spirit,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, officially announced that the film will hit screens on March 5, 2027.
Now, fresh updates suggest that another of his much-awaited projects, the period drama “Fauji,” is targeting a Dasara 2026 release. Sources reveal that the production house, Mythri Movie Makers, has already informed distributors about its plan to release the film during the Dasara festival next year.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, “Fauji” is set in the 1940s and is described as an alternative historical drama—rooted in historical events but driven by a fictional narrative. Prabhas will be seen portraying a soldier, sporting a distinctive and never-seen-before avatar. Newcomer Imanvi plays the female lead opposite him.
Approximately 50 percent of the film’s shooting has already been completed, with a major new schedule set to begin soon. Acclaimed composer Vishal Chandrasekhar is scoring the music for the film.
