Prakash Raj resigns from MAA primary membership

Prakash Raj today resigned from MAA primary membership. He contested the MAA elections as the president.

“I lost the elections because of the campaign that I am not Telugu person. They branded me as non-local. It was painful to hear such comments from the fraternity. Since my fellow actors don’t treat me as one of their own, I should not be a member of MAA. I am denouncing my primary membership,” he declared.

Prakash Raj, a Kannadiga, has acted in hundreds of movies and stays in Hyderabad. However, the rival panel campaigned against him saying he is not a Telugu actor.

He, however, will continue acting in Telugu films.
