Director Prasanth Varma had delivered the biggest hit of his career earlier this year with “Hanu Man.” Despite not featuring a major star in the lead role, the film became a sensational hit. That massive success brought him a huge craze, and all the popular stars have given him time to talk about possible collaborations.
The first announcement he made was about his Bollywood debut with Ranveer Singh. Many thought Prasanth Varma clinched a fantastic deal. However, Ranveer Singh ultimately decided not to work with Prasanth Varma, leading to the film’s scrapping. Rumors said the Bollywood superstar had problems with the script.
Then, Prasanth Varma concentrated on establishing various projects as a writer, producer, and presenter. Around the same time, he announced his next film starring Nandamuri Balakrishna’s son Mokshagnya. With much fanfare, he announced the film, marking Mokshagnya’s debut.
Now, this film, too, has been shelved. The film is not happening.
Prasanth Varma is facing a huge setback to his career due to the cancellation and shelving of two film projects. Many people are raising doubts about him.
He will now shift his focus to “Jai Hanu Man,” the sequel to “Hanu Man.” The film features Rishab Shetty in the main role. Rishab Shetty is currently busy filming the prequel to his pan-Indian hit, Kantara Chapter 1. He will only join the shooting of “Jai Hanu Man” after the completion of “Kantara Chapter 1”. So, Prasanth Varma will have to wait for him.
