Here’s what we got to know from his interviews…

‘Salaar’ is not a remake of ‘Ugramm’
Director Prashanth Neel shot to fame with his Kannada movie ‘Ugramm’, a mafia thriller. The color tones, the stylized taking, and the packaging of every scene as if it is a hero’s introduction in ‘KGF’ have roots in ‘Ugramm’. The director admits that all his films will have shades of the signature style of ‘Ugramm’ in one way or the other but denies the film is being remade with a bigger canvas with Prabhas as ‘Salaar’.

Two parts or one part
There have also been speculations that ‘Salaar’ will be made, like KGF, in two parts. “It is too early to speak about one part or two parts. We will take a final call shortly,” he mentioned.

Prabhas and Yash’s styles are different
Prashanth Neel likes dark tones. He presents his heroes having a certain swag. Will Prabhas be another version of Rocky Bhai? “No, certainly not. Fans will love Prabhas’s character and look. He is completely different from what we have seen of him or my movies,” he states.

Shruti Haasan is not a set prop!
In ‘KGF Chapter 1’, actress Srinidhi Shetty appeared more like a set property. She doesn’t have much role or screen space in the film. But Prashanth Neel promises that his films will, henceforth, have better characters for heroines. Shruti Haasan is playing the heroine opposite Prabhas in the film.
