Producer confirms ‘The Raja Saab’ new release date
For months, there has been speculation about the release of Prabhas’ much-awaited film ’The Raja Saab. Initially planned for December 2025, the film has now officially been pushed to the Sankranthi 2026 slot.
Speaking at the “Mirai” trailer launch event today, producer TG Vishwa Prasad confirmed that “The Raja Saab” will hit theaters on January 9, 2026. He stated that the decision was finalized recently, and a formal announcement will be made soon.

Directed by Maruthi, the horror-comedy marks Prabhas’ first attempt in the genre. The film features three leading ladies while veteran actor Sanjay Dutt plays a grandfather’s role. Set against a grand palace backdrop, the project is currently in its final stages of filming.
Thaman is providing the music. Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar are the heroines.
The festive Sankranthi 2026 season will witness a big box-office clash as The Raja Saab joins the lineup alongside Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu and Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Roju.
