The highly anticipated sequel “Akhanda 2: Thaandavam,” starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Sreenu, will not be arriving on September 25, 2025 as originally announced. The makers confirmed that a new release date will be revealed soon.
Bringing back the blockbuster combination of Balakrishna and Boyapati for the fourth time, the film has already generated massive hype with its teaser creating a sensation across languages.
In their official statement, the production company, 14 Reels Plus, said that a project of this scale requires extensive work in re-recording, VFX, and post-production, which demands more time to ensure the best cinematic experience. They assured fans that the delay is to maintain uncompromised quality, breathtaking visuals, and an ultimate theatrical impact.
The statement further added: “Akhanda 2 will not just be a film, it will be a festival of cinema. We are fully committed to exceeding expectations and delivering a theatrical experience worth the wait.”
