Puri Jagannadh lodges complaint against Warangal Srinu

A leaked audio tape of director and producer Puri Jagannadh warning exhibitors not to pressurise or blackmail him about the refund of ‘Liger’ money recently went viral.

He has now filed a complaint with Jubilee Hills Police against distributor Warangal Srinu and financier Shobhan for threatening him and instigating exhibitors.

Puri Jagannadh’s directorial and production debut, ‘Liger,’ bombed at the box office. The distributors suffered significant financial losses. He promised to compensate them by repaying a portion of their money. Since they have been demanding a refund, he has leaked an audio tape in which he tells the distributors and agitators that he will not succumb to blackmail tactics.

Puri Jagannadh claims in a police complaint that Warangal Srinu and the financier are instigating the exhibitors against him. He also sought the police protection at his house as his wife, mother-in-law and his daughter are residing there.

‘Liger’ starred Vijay Deverakonda. The pan-Indian film flopped in all five languages.
