Director Puri Jagannadh will appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today. Puri Jagannadh, Rakul Preet Singh, Rana, and seven other celebrities from Tollywood were asked by ED for questioning related to the drugs case.
Three years ago, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department questioned actors Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Charmee Kaur, Navdeep, Mumaith Khan, Tanish, Tanish, Shyam K Naidu, and Puri Jagannadh in the drugs case. But none of them were found guilty of taking drugs. So, the case was put in cold storage.
Now, ED is questioning a new development of money laundering in the same case. ED is a central agency. Puri Jagannadh will appear before the officials today. Rakul Preet will appear on September 6, while Rana and Ravi Teja will have to attend on September 8 and 9.
ED recently also probed money laundering in drug cases in the Kannada film industry and Bollywood.
