“Pushpa 2” filming began four months ago. A couple of shooting schedules have already concluded. However, according to sources, the film will not be completed this year. It will take an additional 200 days to finish production and post-production.
Allu Arjun plays the titular character in “Pushpa 2.” Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and Anasuya also star in the film, which is directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The first part of “Pushpa” was mostly set against the Seshachalam forests. There were sequences of red sanders smuggled through ports. The second part is said to focus on how smuggling occurs through seaways.
The crew intends to film sea sequences in Sri Lanka and Thailand. The film will be shown on a large scale. Hence, the film will not be released in theatres this year. Sukumar and his producers are currently aiming for an April 2024 release date.
Next week, on the eve of Allu Arjun’s birthday, the first look and a video preview will be released.
The film’s business will also be done in a big way. Non-theatrical revenue is expected to bring in nearly Rs 200 crore for the producers. The film’s budget will also be in the Rs 300 crore range.
