Allu Arjun and director Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa’ was one of the biggest Telugu hits. It had a decent theatrical run in the Telugu states. The film was widely watched on streaming giant Amazon Prime when it premiered in January this year.
Despite that, the TV audiences were glued to their home screens when it had the world Television premiere on Star Maa recently. The film received massive ratings of 22.5 TVR. After ‘Alavaikuntapurramloo’ and ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’, it has garnered the highest viewership.
Directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa The Rise’ starred Allu Arjun as a smuggler of Red Sandalwood. Rashimka played his lover. Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faazil made an entry in the third act of the film.
The second part of ‘Pushpa’ will start rolling in May.
