Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi had signed the film initially when they planned to begin the shoot last year but the movie’s shoot got delayed and he walked out of the project due to his Tamil assignments. Later, two Kannada stars and a Tollywood leading star were approached but they turned down. Now, Nara Rohit has been approached to do the same but the actor has not said yes to it yet.

The team of ‘Pushpa’ is planning to commence the shoot from October. But they still don’t have an actor to play the antagonist.

‘Pushpa’ is touted to be a Pan-Indian project, produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Set in the Seshachalam forests with the subject of smuggling of Red Sanders, the film has Rashmika Mandannna as the heroine and music by Devi Sri Prasad.
