The theatrical business is stronger than ever. No wonder that films are competing with each other to take a share of it. Today, four films hit the screens.
‘Naandhi’ starring Allari Naresh and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar is directed by newcomer Vijay Kanakamedala. Naresh has attempted a serious drama. The trailers and promos looked quite promising.
‘Chakra’ is Vishal’s latest action drama. The film is produced by Vishal himself. It is a thriller. Shraddha Srinath has played the female lead.
Sumanth starrer ‘Kapatadhaari’ is a murder mystery. The film is directed by Pradeep Krishnamurthy. ‘Pogaru’ is another dubbed movie that is releasing in a big way. It stars Dhruva Sarja and Rashmika Mandanna, ‘Pogaru’.
OTT releases: Pitta Kathalu and Drishyam 2
Two films also are streaming today. ‘Pitta Kathalu’ is Netflix’s first Telugu production. It is an anthology movie about four women and their stories. The film features a huge cast, including Amala Paul, Ashwin Kakumanu, Eesha Rebba, Jagapathi Babu, Lakshmi Manchu, Saanve Megghana, Sanjith Hegde, Shruti Haasan, Naveen Kumar, Satya Dev, Srinivas Avasarala, and Ashima Narwal.
Mohanlal’s Malayalam movie ‘Drishyam 2’ has also bypassed the theatrical window to have a direct OTT release. It is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
