Releasing today: Varudu Kaavalenu and Romantic

About half a dozen movies are hitting the theaters today (Friday, October 28, 2021). Among them, Naga Shaurya starrer ‘Varudu Kaavelenu’ and Akash Puri’s ‘Romantic’ are notable movies and have created all the buzz with aggressive promotions.

Varudu Kaavelenu

Varudu Kaavelenu is a rom-com with family elements. Directed by newcomer Lakshmi Sowjanya, it has Naga Shaurya playing a handsome youngster. Ritu Varma is a stubborn modern girl. Naga Shaurya said the film tackles an important topic related to the Indian marriage system. 

‘Digu Digu Naaga’ song went viral. The makers have promoted the film well. It carries a positive buzz. 

Romantic

Puri Jagannadh bounced back with the success of ‘iSmart Shankar’. With renewed enthusiasm, he has written a youthful and intense love story. The film features his son Akash Puri as the hero and newcomer Ketika Sharma as the female lead. 

Puri Jagannadh went all out in creating buzz around the film. He has roped in Prabhas, Vijay Deverakonda, Rajamouli, and other big names to promote it. So confident in his film that he even conducted a premiere show for the celebrities two days ahead of the release. 

Other movies

A dubbed movie ‘Jai Bajrangi’ aka ‘Bhajrangi 2’ starring Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar is also releasing in the theaters. The makers have relied on TV channel promotions. Small-budgeted movies with newcomers such as ‘Missing’, ‘Ekam’, and ‘Raavana Lanka’ are also testing their luck at the box office.
