Top director SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ wrapped the shooting part the other day. The makers have not yet made any announcement about the film’s new release date. It was to hit the screens on October 13, but it has now been pushed to 2022. Ugadi 2022 (March 2022) is the date they are looking at.
Here comes the twist. The latest buzz is that Rajamouli to go for the Sankranthi 2022 release instead of waiting till the summer holidays. ‘RRR’ starring NTR and Ram Charan has been struggling to find a perfect date.
His decision will send shockwaves in the Telugu film industry. Some of our Telugu biggies have already announced their Sankranthi 2022 plans. ‘Radhe Shyam’, ‘Bheemla Nayak’ and ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ are scheduled to hit the screens for the Pongal.
Will Rajamouli dare offset other biggies?
Since ‘RRR’ is a pan-Indian project, the film will also have a huge impact on the release plans of other language movies. So, Rajamouli has to give clarity as early as possible.
Produced by DVV Danayya, the film is shot with an estimated budget of Rs 400 crore. Olivia Morris, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt are part of this mega movie.
