Ravi Teja continues to reinvent himself by stepping away from his trademark mass entertainers and exploring content-driven cinema. As part of this shift, the actor has teamed up with director Shiva Nirvana for a concept-oriented family drama. Titled “Irumudi,” the film’s first look poster was unveiled today, coinciding with Ravi Teja’s birthday.
The poster presents Ravi Teja in a strikingly new avatar: dressed as an Ayyappa Deeksha devotee, carrying the traditional Irumudi on his head. Adding emotional depth to the visual, he is also seen holding a baby in his arms.
The title and the first look clearly suggest that Ravi Teja plays a devoted follower of Lord Ayyappa. More importantly, the poster signals a complete departure from his action-packed and mass-centric roles, hinting at a more rooted and emotional narrative.
For director Shiva Nirvana, known for romantic dramas like Ninnu Kori and Kushi, Irumudi marks a fresh and unconventional outing. The film is Ravi Teja’s 77th project (RT77) and is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
