Sriya Reddy is no stranger to Telugu cinema. She starred in films such as “Appudappudu” and “Amma Cheppindi” a decade and a half ago. She has, however, stopped appearing in films in recent years. She made a comeback with “Salaar,” which debuted to massive collections.
Radha Rama, a woman with negative traits, was played by Sriya Reddy. Sriya Reddy, speaking about the film, admitted that she was hesitant to take the role when the director approached her with the idea of a female villain.
A beautiful villain!
“When director Prashant Neel approached me, I was not in the mood to act in films, but he wanted to act me. When he wrote the script, there was no role for me, but as he worked on it, he decided it would be better to have a female villain. As a result, he approached me and insisted on playing the part. But he designed my character in such a way that the woman appears beautiful while being a villain. He didn’t want to show the villain as a woman with an evil appearance,” she explained.
Prabhas is a nice guy!
“Salaar” stars Prabhas as the hero and Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran as his friend. She doesn’t have many scenes with them, but she says the experience has been positive.
“Prabhas is a nice guy. He does not interfere with other people’s work. Prithviraj also speaks less, and they both do their jobs without displaying any starry tantrums,” she explained.
Salaar 2 will be much larger!
“In the second installment of Salaar, I play a longer role. The first section serves as a character introduction. The real drama unfolds in the second one. Salaar 2 will be a real treat,” Sriya Reddy predicted.
OG is a surprise!
Sriya Reddy also plays a key role in Pawan Kalyan’s “OG,” directed by Sujeeth. But she is not playing the antagonist in the film. “Let my role remain a mystery until the release date is confirmed. I may retire after the release of “OG” because it will be such a memorable role,” she added.
