Samantha is currently in Austria. She had previously visited the United States and Bali. Samantha is currently touring Europe and exploring various tourist attractions in Salzburg, Austria.
She became emotional while sitting on the banks of Mondsee Lake, one of the city’s most popular lakes, which also appeared in the opening scenes of the classic film “The Sound of Music” (1965).
Samantha, who posted photos of Mozart’s birthplace in Salzburg as well as Mondsee Lake, stated that “The Sound of Music” is her favorite movie to watch whenever she is happy or sad.
She mentioned that seeing the lake in person hit her hard and tender at the same time.
She wrote, “Whenever I’d feel very happy or very sad as a child… I’d rewatch Sound Of Music. It was my escape. It would transport me to a magical world that would give me the detachment from reality I needed. To me it was a mystical place that was comfortingly not real. I’d keep going back to the film as I grew older. Some films get better with each revisit. But Sound Of Music remains the same and transports you back to childhood, instead. Coming here and visiting this location in person hit hard and tender all at the same time.”
