Samantha is riding high on the success of her comeback film “Maa Inti Bangaaram,” which emerged as a blockbuster by grossing nearly Rs 100 crore worldwide. The film reaffirmed her box office pull and marked a strong return to the big screen.
Soon after the film’s release, Samantha announced that she and her husband, Raj Nidimoru, are expecting their first child.
Even before confirming her pregnancy, Samantha had signed a talk show for an OTT platform. Apart from that commitment, she has decided not to take on any new acting projects and has opted for a year-long maternity break.
While she plans to continue overseeing projects under her production banner, Tralala Moving Pictures, she has no immediate plans to return in front of the camera. Sources say acting will take a back seat as she wants to fully embrace motherhood, something she has long looked forward to.
Fans, however, need not worry. Samantha has made it clear that this is only a temporary pause, and she intends to return to acting after her maternity break. If all goes as planned, her next innings on screen is expected to begin in 2027 or 2028.
