Global star Priyanka Chopra’s rise in Bollywood wasn’t without challenges. Long before she became one of India’s biggest international stars, the actress underwent a nose surgery that she has previously described as a painful experience after it reportedly went wrong.
Now, producer Suneel Darshan has revisited that phase of her career, revealing that he had suggested she consider correcting the bridge of her nose before casting her in Andaaz.
Speaking in a throwback interview, Darshan said Priyanka did not fit the conventional Bollywood beauty standards of that time. However, he was impressed by her confidence, determination, distinctive voice, and strong screen presence, and believed she had the potential to become a major star.
Darshan recalled telling Priyanka that she should “do something about the bridge of her nose.”
