Samantha has stayed away from movie sets throughout this year. The coronavirus pandemic has made her take up other endeavors. She launched a clothing line, took up urban farming, and turned talk show host.
In February this year, she had a movie release in the form of Sharwanand starrer ‘Jaanu’, which tanked at the box-office. Then lockdown followed. So, she didn’t face the movie camera.
Finally, she is all set to return to the studio floors next week. She will begin shooting in Hyderabad for her Tamil movie titled ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’. Vignesh Shivan is directing the film that has Vijay Sethupathi as the male lead. Samantha and Nayanthara are the heroines.
She will join the sets on December 14. Samantha will also start working for director Ashwin Saravanan’s thriller next year.
Samantha has cut down her acting assignments for various reasons.
