Due to financial constraints and the differences between the director and producer over the budget, the much-hyped ‘Bharateeyudu 2’ aka ‘Indian 2’ got shelved. The film had already completed 40 percent of its shooting.
As ‘Vikram’ became a massive blockbuster in Tamil and Telugu, director Shankar gains confidence that Kamal Haasan’s films still can collect big money. Their combination would generate more craze.
Shankar appreciated ‘Vikram’. The director is known as the showman of the south. He reportedly got inspired by the film’s box office returns. He may revive ‘Bharateeyudu 2’ soon.
Currently, Shankar is filming a pan-Indian project with Ram Charan and Kiara Advani.
