Regarded as the ‘Showman of South’, director Shankar has now landed in a situation that is hard for him to come out facing legal problems. Lyca Productions, the leading production house of the Tamil film industry, is forcing him to complete ‘Indian 2’ with Kamal Haasan, before taking up new films. Shankar, on other hand, prefers to start Ram Charan’s film rather than reviving ‘Indian 2’.
He is more excited about Ram Charan’s film. Shankar has also completed drafting the script. Dil Raju who is in the USA will come down to Hyderabad soon. He will meet Shankar and decide the way to go.
Will Dil Raju bail Shankar in ‘Indian 2’? That is not possible for Dil Raju as the matter related to ‘Indian 2’ is about Rs 160 crore investment. What will Lyca Productions do with an unfinished film on which they had spent Rs 160 crore?
Shankar has fewer options but he doesn’t want to lose Ram Charan’s film either. Luckily for him, the shoots of ‘RRR’ and ‘Acharya’ have not yet been completed. So, Ram Charan can wait for Shankar for another couple of months. By then, Shankar may resolve the issues.
