Sharwanand starrer ‘Sreekaram’ had its theatrical release early this year. The film won good reviews and appreciation but it flopped at the box office. 14 Reels Plus, the producers behind this project, could not recover their investment.
Probably this was the reason they had not paid the full amount to its lead hero Sharwanand. Now, Sharwanand has dragged them to court.
The buzz in the film industry is that Sharwanand was not fully paid by the producers. They have given him cheques for the balance of Rs 2 crore of the agreed remuneration. After the film’s failure at the box office, the producers have stopped responding to his reminders. The cheques were not honored. So, Sharwanand reportedly has decided to pursue the matter in court.
It has to be seen how 14 Reels Plus would handle this matter.
Sharwanand has ‘Maha Samudram’ on the sets. He also two more films in the production stage.
