The title and first look of Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film with director Puri Jagannadh were unveiled today, marking the actor’s birthday. Titled “Slumdog,” the film comes with an intriguing tagline: 33 Temple Road, instantly sparking curiosity among fans and cinephiles.
The first look poster is strikingly intense and violent in tone, offering a powerful glimpse into Vijay Sethupathi’s character.
Sporting disheveled hair and a rugged beard, the actor appears in a beggar’s attire, complemented by a flowing scarf and heavy boots. He is seen gripping a massive sickle raised high, with bundles of cash flying around him in a dark, fog-filled slum setting—strongly hinting at a raw and aggressive characterization.
“Slumdog” is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the Puri Connects banner, along with JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla of JB Mohan Pictures. The film has already wrapped up its shooting.
Samyuktha plays the female lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi, while Tabu and Duniya Vijay Kumar will be seen in crucial roles. Music for “Slumdog: 33 Temple Road” is being composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who is known for his impactful work in Arjun Reddy and Animal.
