Sreeleela to become the Anushka Shetty of Bollywood!
Sreeleela is fast becoming one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood, even before her Hindi debut hits the screens. She will make her debut opposite Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan in a romantic drama directed by Anurag Basu, slated for release in 2026.
Even before its release, Sreeleela has signed two more Hindi projects. The latest buzz is that producer Allu Aravind is planning a massive Hindi film with her under Geetha Arts.
Geetha Arts is reportedly developing a Hindi adaptation of the 2009 Telugu blockbuster Arundhati. The remake, to be directed by Mohan Raja, will see Sreeleela stepping into the iconic role originally portrayed by Anushka Shetty.
The original Arundhati, directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, was a landmark fantasy thriller revolving around reincarnation and revenge. Earlier attempts to remake the film in Hindi with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepika Padukone didn’t materialize, but Sreeleela now seems poised to carry forward Anushka Shetty’s legacy in Bollywood.
