SSMB29: Mahesh Babu leaves for filming in Odisha

The globe-trotting adventure thriller that director SS Rajamouli recently commenced filming with superstar Mahesh Babu is briskly progressing.

Until now, the team shot sequences at specially erected sets in an aluminum factory in Hyderabad. Today, the team shifted to Odisha.

The second filming schedule will begin in the picturesque Koraput district of Odisha. Koraput, which is part of the Eastern Ghats, is known for its hilly terrain, rich and diverse mineral deposits, and tribal culture.

A video of Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata sending him off at Hyderabad airport appeared on social media today.

This schedule is part of their ongoing journey to capture diverse and scenic locations for the movie. Rajamouli has plans to shoot the movie in various locations, including Vizag, Kenya, Sri Lanka, and other places.

The film falls in the genre of Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones series. The untitled film also features Priyanka Chopra as one of the female lead actors.
