Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s adventure thriller (#SSMB29), based on two novels by South African writer Wilbur Smith, has recently completed some key portions in Hyderabad. The shooting is expected to continue for another year or so, across various locations, along with specially created sets in Hyderabad.
For the next leg of production, Rajamouli and team are planning to shift to Kenya in July. The team will put up there for entire July stretch.
In several national parks across Kenya, some adventure sequences will be filmed on the lead actors Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra.
Kenya’s schedule is crucial for this film. Rajamouli and his stepson Karthikeya had specifically done a recce last year and finalized the locations.
Touted to be a globe-trotting adventure on the lines of Indiana Jones, with elements of Indian mythology like Ramayana interspersed, the film (#SSMB29) is being made on a massive scale. The budget for this project is said to be the highest in Rajamouli’s career.
