Pushpa 2, Kantara impressed me the most: Singeetham Srinivasa Rao

Veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao has revealed that “Pushpa 2” and “Kantara” are the two Indian films that have impressed him the most in recent times.

Speaking in a recent interview, the legendary director said he was particularly fascinated by the characterization in “Pushpa 2.” He also showered praise on “Kantara,” describing it as a powerful cinematic experience.

“I especially loved the characterization in ‘Pushpa 2’. ‘Kantara’ is a magnificent film. Its emotions, character design, and storytelling are incredibly powerful,” he said.

Singeetham Srinivasa Rao also spoke about his latest musical venture “Sing Geetham” which won critical acclaim. He said the film was conceived primarily with Gen-Z audiences in mind. According to him, the project was designed with a forward-looking vision and is likely to gain even greater appreciation over time.

The veteran filmmaker, who continues to surprise audiences with his enthusiasm and creativity even in his nineties, credited his enduring passion for cinema as the reason behind his relentless pursuit of innovation.

“There is only one answer: passion. The desire to do something new, to attempt what others haven’t tried, and to offer audiences a fresh experience has always driven me,” Singeetham said.
