The Maharashtra cyber cell has summoned actor Tamannaah Bhatia for allegedly endorsing Fairplay, an online gaming and betting app. According to news reports, she has been summoned to appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Police on April 29.
The Maharashtra cyber cell summoned her for allegedly encouraging the consumption of Indian Premier League (IPL) matches on the Fairplay betting app.
According to officials, in 2023, certain IPL matches were unlawfully aired on the app, as claimed in a complaint. She was invited to give her testimony as a witness in the case.
Tamannaah Bhatia is currently working on the film “Odela 2” directed by Sampath Nandi.

Tamannaah has almost 25 million Instagram followers. She makes crores of rupees by endorsing numerous brands for money on this platform. As part of her marketing deals, she promoted the aforementioned app, which led to a police case.
