Tamil superstar Vijay announces political party

Vijay, a topTamil star, has finally announced that he is starting a political party. On Friday, he declared his political debut. The actor named his party “Tamilaga Vetri Kazham” (TVK).

Vijay promised to bring about rapid changes in Tamil Nadu politics.

“Politics is more than just another career for me. I’ve been prepared for this for a long time. Politics is not my hobby. I want to be fully involved in it,” the actor stated.

He said his goal is to bring the change that can lead to “a selfless, transparent, caste-free, visionary, corruption-free and efficient administration.”
Vijay’s attention will be on the Tamil Nadu assembly elections in 2026. So, his party will not run in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“Our goal is to run and win the next 2026 assembly elections, bringing about the profound political transformation that people desire,” he stated.
