Thaman, the music director, is a regular victim of online trolling. Thaman’s songs these days are either derivative of his previous work or unimaginative.
Two of his compositions have come out in the last few days. The song “Jaragandi Jaragandi” from “Game Changer” is one. “Cult Mama” from “Skanda” is the other. The song “Game Changer” was a leak, not an official release. Today, on the auspicious Ganesh festival, the song “Cult Mama” was released.
Both songs appear to be formulaic compositions. Except for the high decibel beats, they don’t sound particularly creative. Thaman is being repetitive when music directors like Anirudh Ravichander are providing fantastic hummable songs.
It’s no surprise that he’s being trolled mercilessly online. Memes are going viral as well.
